🐝 Share Your Book with The Hive! 🐝
We’re thrilled that you want to bring your book to our shelves! At The Hive Bookshop, we love supporting local authors. Because our hive has limited space and resources, we carefully curate the books we stock. Please read through the sections below to find the best way to share your book with us.
Traditionally Published Books
If your book comes from a traditional publisher, please have your publisher or sales rep contact us at thehivebookshop@gmail.com with ordering information. We can only order books that are returnable and offered at a minimum 40% discount for booksellers. Once we review your book, we’ll determine whether it’s a good fit for our readers and our hive. If it is, we may order it through our usual supplier.
Self-Published or Non-Distributor Books
If your book is self-published, unavailable through our regular distributors, or only offered non-returnable without standard terms, we may purchase a few copies directly from you. Please email us at thehivebookshop@gmail.com with:
Details about your book (title, format, genre, and ISBN if available)
A short description
Whether you’re local (we especially love supporting local authors!)
We follow a 50/50 split for self-published books where you receive 50% of the cover price for each copy sold. Please keep in mind that we are a small team and will do our best to respond to requests in a timely manner. We’ll do our best to help your book find its place in our community of readers!
